Use Lightning & Feel Powerful Spell Guide
Lightning is a powerful force. What if you could harness that and boost your willpower? This spell shows you how to do just that.
What You Will Need:
A wooden stick/wand (preferably oak)
Copper wire (for induction)
String (optional)
Rubber Hammer (optional)
Oh, and a thunderstorm 😉
Step 1: Set Your Intention
Intention is always important in any spell or ritual. With this one, you can be quite specific.
This spell is all about channeling the power of lightning into your own willpower. So, what do you need willpower for? Dealing with your husband’s antics? To stop doing an addictive behavior, like smoking? To lose weight?
This spell can be used for all that and more. And, it is up to you to set your intentions. Your intention could go something like this:
“I want to use the power of Zeus to imbue my spirit with willpower so that I have more patience with my children.”
You can, obviously, substitute what you desire to use willpower for in place of “patience with my children.
Step 2: Assembling Your Wand
This step is simple: get a wooden stick around 6-12 inches (15-30 centimeters) long and a finger’s breadth wide. Wrap the copper wire around the wand from top to bottom. You can even cut the ends of the wire in such a way that they’re sharp. If you do that, you can insert the wire into the wand. Make sure not to split the wand!
Also, some people adorn their wand with a drop of blood. I cannot, however, legally condone the use of blood in Magick.
A Quick Note on ‘Wands’
When you take a piece of a tree, you are being gifted a tool from nature. This is not something to take lightly. Be thankful to the tree, the universe, and the life force that you are given this tool. You are not simply taking a stick. You are removing a living piece of a being. Remember that.
Step 3: Ready For the Storm
With your wand done, you should be ready. Hopefully, a thunderstorm is brewing near you. As soon as you think one is coming, you can do one of two things:
Attach the wand to a tree branch with the string, or
Hammer the wand into the ground in an empty field.
Either way will work. Let the lightning commence! Your wand may or may not get struck, but you should know the copper will absorb static electricity from the storm no matter what. And, once it is done, you can retrieve your wand.
Whatever you do, do not stand in the middle of a lightning storm and hold the copper-wrapped wand up in the air. That will kill you. Probably.
Step 4: Using Your Newly Charged Wand
Once the wand is charged, you are now ready to use it.
Whenever you want to imbue yourself with willpower toward a certain goal, point the wand at the thing (or a representation of that thing, like a photo) and repeat your intention. Also, imagine the lightning spewing forth from the tip of the wand in strikes. You may do this as long as you need.
For example, say you need willpower to stop smoking. Point the wand at a pack of cigarettes. Imagine the lightning zapping every last one of those cancer sticks while you repeat your intention. After enough time, you should be given the willpower to stop.
Step 5: Gratitude
I know everyone is tired of hearing it by now. But, gratitude is important. And with this spell, you will be saying a gratitude multiple times.
Each time you use the wand, you must give your thanks to the universe, nature, Zeus—whoever or whatever you choose. You were given power. Be thankful for that power. If you do that, all will go as planned.
Love + Blessings,
