Overview

Also known as: Hin, Hun, Hjinn

See also: Djinn (general)

Hinn Djinn are the most loyal of all Djinn. Their main purpose is being a servitor to their master(s).

Hinn are intelligent and loyal companions that will provide protection for you. Hinn are similar to Angelic beings, but they have distinct personalities from them. Also, they are not opposed to Black Magick.

Some Hinn present as dog-like beings, but most prefer their classic humanoid form.

Differentiation From Other Djinn

Hinn Djinn, as previously stated, are best utilized as servitors. They will follow direction no matter what the command. While not particularly skilled in any specific Magick, they can utilize anything from Wish Granting to Revenge Magick.

Hinn are rare in that they were created by Iblis, himself. Iblis is the most powerful Shaitan Djinn and he created Hinn to serve him as his own brethren rebelled against his fascistic nature. What he did not take into account, though, was that the Hinn he created from the poisonous fire, called Samum, were not inclined towards evil.

Instead, the Hinn followed suit with the rest of the Shaitan and became generally good entities. Their nature has been compared to Angels in the past, but their true nature lies somewhere between Angels and Shaitan; they are more of a gray entity.

The Hinn, like the Ifrit, correspond to the fire element. Similarly, they will respond well to any kind of candlework and are a good general entity to have in your collection.

Powers & Abilities of the Hinn

The Hinn are best known for being completely loyal and assisting in spellcraft. They are a jack-of-all-trades kind of entity. Nearly any form of Magick can be practiced with them. Almost every Hinn has, at least, some experience with a broad range of Magicks.

Specific Offerings & Spirit Care Guidelines

Offerings: Tobacco, spices (cumin, saffron, herbes de provence, etc.), coffee (brewed or beans), white sugar, black tea

Communication: Pendulum, EVP, dream-state contact, astral contact, automatic writing, sand divination (geomancy), petitioning, and candlework.

Are Badriyah a Good Match For Me?

Likely, yes. I recommend Hinn to any and all. Most people start with Ifrit and soon after move to Marid, but I always have thought Hinn should come first. They are very easy to control, have Magick abilities that will apply to almost any situation, and will be completely loyal to you without disruption.

Hinn also work very well in groups of three. When I work with mine, I always use three at a time. Also, if you do have an Ifrit or Marid, they work well with those, too.

You quite literally cannot go wrong with a Hinn at your side.
